Marphona Farms is one of New Zealand’s largest privately owned dairy farms. Owned and managed by Bruce Pulman, the company is recognised as the leading quality dairy farm in New Zealand. Marphona Farms supplies milk of the highest quality to Green Valley Dairies. Green Valley Dairies Limited is another Company in the HEB Group.

Marphona Farms began as a family business in 1983 and has continued to expand to farm over 1500 hectares (1414 organic, 110 conventional) at Mangatawhiri, 45 minutes south of Auckland.

Marphona Farms has developed QA systems to meet the ISO 9001:2008 International Quality Standard. Marphona Farms is the only dairy farm in the Southern Hemisphere to hold ISO 9001:2008.

Marphona Farms also holds a Category Two rating under New Zealand Occupational Safety and Health. This makes Marphona Farms an industry leader in this area.

In 1998 Marphona Farms made a commitment to environmentally sound management by converting 1612 conventional hectares to organic dairy production. The area farmed organically will increase as additional land is developed to a suitable standard. Marphona Farms is New Zealand’s largest organic dairy producer.

Marphona Farms holds AsureQuality Organic Certification. Marphona Farms was the first New Zealand Dairy farm to obtain a Registered Product Safety Programme (PSP) with New Zealand Food Safety Authority. Marphona Farms won the Franklin Business Excellence in Agriculture award in 2002.
